Tim Curry, Rocky Horror’s Frank-N-Furter, has died at 80

Manager Marcia Hurwitz told BBC News and the Associated Press that Tim Curry died on 25 August 2026 at his home in Toluca Lake, Los Angeles. No cause was disclosed. Curry, who had used a wheelchair since a 2012 stroke, originated Dr. Frank-N-Furter in The Rocky Horror Show at London’s Royal Court in 1973 and on film in 1975. AP later corrected an initial report that had given the death date as 26 August.
