Museo Reina Sofía’s official page dates History Doesn’t Repeat Itself, but It Does Rhyme. Dumile Feni: African Guernica from 25 March to 22 September 2026. Curated by Tamar Garb, the first instalment places Picasso’s Guernica (1937) beside Dumile Feni’s African Guernica (1967) for the first time. The museum says the large charcoal drawing has never travelled abroad; the loan is from the University of Fort Hare. Hours Monday and Wednesday–Saturday 10:00 a.m.–9:00 p.m., Sunday 10:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m.; closed Tuesdays. General admission €12; free last two hours with a ticket.
