The Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco’s 12 May 2026 release lists Treasures of the Pharaohs at the de Young from 1 August 2026 through 31 January 2027. It is the US premiere of a 130-object tour from the Egyptian Museum in Cairo and the Luxor Museum, including the North American debut of finds from Amenhotep III’s Golden City, rediscovered near Luxor in 2021. Tour curator is Dr. Tarek El Awady; the FAMSF presentation is curated by Renée Dreyfus. The show then travels to the Kimbell Art Museum, 14 March through 19 September 2027.
