Philadelphia’s AAMP keeps Ruth E. Carter Afrofuturism costumes through 6 September

The African American Museum in Philadelphia dates Ruth E. Carter: Afrofuturism in Costume Design from 1 November 2025 to 6 September 2026 in Galleries 2, 3 and 4. The official current-exhibitions page presents the touring survey of the two-time Oscar-winning costume designer, with costumes, artifacts, personal sketches and pieces from Carter’s private collection. Museum hours are Wednesday 12:00–17:00 and Thursday–Sunday 10:00–17:00; adult admission is $20, youth, students and seniors $10, members free. The museum is closed Monday and Tuesday, so the last public days are 3–6 September.
