Cuauhtémoc Medina named curator of 25th Bienal de Arte Paiz

Fundación Paiz appointed Mexican curator, critic and historian Cuauhtémoc Medina to lead the conceptual and narrative project for the 25th Bienal de Arte Paiz, set for November 2027–February 2028 in Guatemala City and Antigua Guatemala for the biennial’s 50th anniversary (founded 1978). Medina previously served as Tate Modern’s first associate curator of Latin American collections and as MUAC chief curator; the foundation announced the selection after its advisory committee process. Artforum and The Art Newspaper also reported the appointment.
