Portland Art Museum names Michael J. Anderson director, starting 12 October

PAM’s official announcement appoints Michael J. Anderson, president and CEO of the Oklahoma City Museum of Art since 2019, as Arlene and Harold Schnitzer Director beginning 12 October 2026. He succeeds Brian Ferriso, whose nearly two-decade tenure ended with the 2025 campus transformation. PAM cites a 35 percent attendance rise and doubled school-visit demand since the expanded campus opened. Anderson holds a PhD in History of Art and Film Studies from Yale.
