National Portrait Gallery acquires Harley Weir’s Charli xcx portrait

London’s National Portrait Gallery announced on 27 July 2026 the acquisition of a photograph of Charli xcx by Harley Weir for its Collecting the Now fund, supported by the Bukhman Foundation. The Guardian and The Art Newspaper reported the Brat-era image is on view in the History Makers space (Room 33) on the ground floor. NPG senior curator of photographs Brandei Estes called Charli “one of the defining cultural figures of her generation.”
