Franco Fontana, Italian colour photographer, dies at 92 in Modena

Il Resto del Carlino (Modena, 29 August 2026) reports Franco Fontana died this morning at his home, age 92. Artribune’s Emma Sedini likewise dates the death to the morning of 29 August 2026 in his Modena house. Born 9 December 1933 in Cognento, Fontana was a leading Italian colour photographer. Those reports do not state a cause of death or funeral arrangements.
