ARTnewsMinneapolis Walker visitors mistook Olalekan Jeyifous’s digital works for ‘AI slop’; museum adding wall textARTnews, citing MPR News, reports that after a mid-August Reddit post branded Hydricosmic Litanies as undisclosed generative AI, Jeyifous and the Walker rejected the claim that works were simple prompt outputs. Chief curator Henriette Huldisch said the artist uses sophisticated tools that may embed AI but not prompt-to-image generation; curator Taylor Jasper described an iterative process. The museum told MPR it would add clarifying wall text. MPR’s 19 August story headline confirms the clarification.
